Our Story

We will spare you the LONG version of our story.  Instead, here is what you may be interested to know….Paystats is a perfectly formed boutique company with 25 years of combined leadership experience in compensation research and consulting engagements.  Our agile and proactive approach to building and delivering compensation surveys enables you to meet your ever-changing compensation information needs effectively and efficiently.  Paystats gives users the market intelligence to make smarter, more strategic business decisions that will help companies attract and retain the best employees.  We emphasize making solid business connections with clients and following through with outstanding customer service.

This isn’t our first tour.  We originally came together in 2000 and for a two year period when we grew very rapidly in Canada.  During that time we took on several compensation surveys for hundreds of companies in the Pharmaceutical (Rx&D), Medical Equipment and Devices (MEDEC), Animal Health Sciences (CAHI) and Biotechnology (BHRC).  We also conducted extensive wage research for the Ontario Government – Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.  In less than 2 years Paystats became one of Canada’s largest compensation databases.  Then at the end of 2002, Paystats was acquired by a global consulting firm and a new era for the company’s compensation survey research began.

After the acquisition, for 13 years, our company’s leaders continued to work in different aspects of the compensation research and consulting industry by serving clients across North America and Europe.  In 2013 our leaders left the global consulting organization to resume an entrepreneurial path.

Now, after developing a deep understanding of market trends and needs, we have put the band back together to relaunch Paystats and deliver the best possible compensation survey solutions we can.  This time with a goal to be even better and louder!

Since June 2015, Paystats is open for business again under the same original leadership and functioning as a division of Red Barn Consulting Partners, based out of Toronto, Canada.  We are a little older and wiser now – but still full of the original energy, innovation and commitment to clients that has always made our company special.
